Eko Atlantic is a dynamic new city that is rising from the Atlantic Ocean, adjacent to Victoria Island in Lagos, Nigeria.

The project has been on for a while and these new photos from the project shows the city is gradually taking shape.

Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly pays for ‘medical treatment of the 370 people injured in Portuguese wildfires’

Cristiano Ronaldo has once again stretched out his generous heart by reportedly paying the medical bills of 370 victims injured in the devastating Portuguese wildfires.
His pop star sister, Katia Aveiro posted a link to a report about the Real Madrid’s forward’s generosity on her Facebook page.
It says: "Cristiano Ronaldo paid for the medical treatment of the 370 people injured in the Portuguese wildfires."
Applauding the move, she adds to the post: 'And that is It. Good night.'

The devastating wildfires which struck on Sunday near Tabua, 120 miles (200km) north of Lisbon, claimed the lives of 42 people including a one-month-old baby and injured many.
Following the news of the wildfires, the football star from Madeira in Portugal, who's the Richest sportsman in the World, took to his Facebook to show solidarity to the family of the victims.
“It’s impossible to remain indifferent to this tragedy. Solidarity with the relatives and friends of the victims.
“Full support for firefighters who risk their live to help in the best way possible.”

Singer Davido who was at the Benin Kingdom as Oba Ewuare II celebrated the first year anniversary of his coronation today, said this tonight as he shared the photo he took besides the Monarch via Snapchat.

'This is one picture that I wish my mum was alive to see, she would have loved to see it' -  Davido said.

Lagos ranked 8th most dangerous megacity for women to live in

Lagos state has been voted the eighth most dangerous megacity for women to live in. This is according to a Thompson Reuters survey carried out recently. Cairo, capital of Egypt, was rated the world’s most dangerous megacity for women. The poll which sought the opinion from some 380 experts in women’s issues, was conducted in 19 of the world’s biggest megacities between June and July 2017. The cities were ranked based on four major factors – sexual violence, access to healthcare, cultural practices, and economic opportunities.

VENUE : Methodist University College Ghana Dansoman Campus

ACTIVITIES :

Friday 1st December, 2017 : Registration begins on Friday morning 9:00am through to 5:00pm on campus and other designated venues such as online and some selected radio stations. After the registration, there will be a Karaoke Night from 7:00pm to 12:00pm.

Saturday 2nd December, 2017 : On Saturday morning, there will be a health walk followed by in-door games and in the evening, there will be a dinner.

Sunday 3rd December, 2017 : The event will be climaxed with a Thanksgiving Service on campus.
